In Case You Need to Hear This.

Yesterday, I was in a shitty mood. And then, I felt shitty for feeling shitty. Double whammy. So I’m writing this for me, but also for you. For us. So that we can remember.

It’s okay for you to feel shitty. Even if you don’t know why.

It’s okay that you didn’t respond to your texts all day.

It’s okay for you to expect honesty and dignity and respect and kindness and quality healthcare.

It’s okay that you forgot.

It’s okay for you to not explain yourself.

It’s okay for you to take too long to finish your sentences, and for other people to feel impatient about it.

It’s okay for you to have cereal for dinner and pizza for breakfast on the days that anything else seems impossible.

It’s okay to stop.

It’s okay that you don’t know how.

It’s okay for you to let someone off the hook. It’s also okay not to.

It’s okay for you to have your feelings hurt.

It’s okay for you to get triggered by people whom you love. Who love you.

It’s okay for you to be scared.

It’s all okay. All of it. Every last bit.

Sending you love, and so much grace. There’s enough to go around.
